Bishop Franco at Transfiguration Church on Palm Sunday

Bishop Franco Visits Church of the Transfiguration East of Kailash. The Auxiliary Bishop made his maiden visit to the church of the transfiguration, East of Kailash. It was also the day of celebration of the Palm sunday. We are so thrilled by the visit of our Bishop. said Donald D"souza, one of the parishioners. Bishop was given a traditional welcome by the Tribal community by washing of the hands at the out side church and Garlanding. The Bishop Along with fr. Paul and Fr. Stanley the parish priest were tied a turban, to honour the dignity of the prelate as the shepherd of the community.

Church of the Transfiguration Releases it parish directory. Mr. Subhash Chopra, the MLA of the greater Kailash area, along with the auxiliary bishop released parish directory 2010. It was also an effort to make the Transfiguration Education Foundation, which would help the poor children of south delhi to get educational help. Mr. subhash Chopra contributed a Sum of Rs 21000 towards the education foundation.

Funeral Mass photos of Fr. Samuel Willims

Fr. Samuel Williams, a priest of the Archdiocese of Delhi passed away yesterday. He was 72 years old. He served as a priest in the Archdiocese for more than 43 years. The funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on 17th February at 10.00 am.

Golden Jubilee Closing Ceremony

Held on 22th November, 2009. Nearly fifteen thousand people participated in the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebration.

Dharna to secure equal rights for Dalit Christians on 18th November, 2009 from 9 am to 6 pm at, Jantar Mantar (in front of the Kerala House) New Delhi being organized by the National Council of Dalit Christians in collaboration with NCCI and CBCI also to continue to exert pressure on the government. Thousands of Christians from all over India participated in Dharna.

Kabir Puraskar

Nation salutes the Communal Harmony and Kabir Puraskar Awardees. It was a red letter day for the Catholic Church of India and the Archdiocese of Delhi as Dr. Fr. Dominic Emmanuel SVD received the Communal Harmony award for 2008 from the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil on 12th of August, 2009. Growing up in a non-Christian environment of Ajmer in Rajasthan, surrounded by a temple and a mosque near his place of residence, Dr. Emmanuel learnt the art of living in peace and respecting other religions from his tender age. Priest Gathering

Golden Jubilee gathering of the pastoral clergy of the archdiocese too place on the 3rd of August at the Rosary School, Kingsway Camp. The Archbishop along with and the Auxiliary 83 priests attended this one day programme. It is also the year for the priests so it combined celebration also to mark the St. John Vianney Day.

Inauguration of Dance Classes
